B-Boying is a dance form expression of Hip Hop culture, first taking shape in the Bronx of the 1970s. B-Boys and B-Girls (break-boys break-girls) would respond to the drum breaks in the DJs mixes.
Better known by it's commercial name 'Breakdancing', this expressive acrobat dance continues to evolve and inspire. Jams and battles continue throughout the world.
Since November 2009 the trinity centre has been hosting a weekly 3 hour jam, a chance for local B-boys and B-girls to do their thing. All ability levels are very, very welcome, although there's no formally taught class at present, hints and help are freely distributed.
