A history of the Holy Trinity Church, Lawrence Hill, from its time as a church to its deconsecration and development as a centre for community activity.

Illustration of ChurchThe Holy Trinity Church was built between 1829-1832, designed by architects Thomas Rickman and Henry Hutchinson.

The history of the Trinity Centre has always been widely connected to community arts and inner city regeneration.

In the 1970's it ceased to be a functioning church and was given by the Church of England to Bristol Caribbean Community Enterprise group with a covenant to to be used for youth, community and arts activity and became known as the St Paul's Centre.
