When Trinity was approached by a group of 4 Montpelier ravers to host "a night for the music and not the money" we couldn't resist getting involved

Having also pitched their idea to Bristol’s music community, they've managed to put together one of the most progressive and up and coming dance music line ups to date - from minimal techno/dubstep blender and youngster Bear Grillz, to the rib cage rattling bass of Sickman D, to guest Wigflex DJ Spam Chop and Pollen Records man EFA, right down to long standing resident in the Bristol scene SKELM. This night is guaranteed to be something special and to any Bristol raver who likes their progressive bass orientated dance music, this is one not to be missed.

The group - PATCHWORK - have created a night that offers a platform for unsigned artists to play alongside more established artists. Everyone involved is giving their time for free to put together a unique night, presenting Bristol underground progressive music talent, for a decent price.

Jess Tickles, a member of the PATCHWORK Group said:

“We wanted to put on a night that gives people the opportunity to show their talent and get involved, regardless of who they are or how well known they are. A cheap night, where people know their money is going back into supporting their local music scene and not into the pockets of the promoters.”

PATCHWORK is looking for others who would like to get involved - be that to DJ to VJ, promotions or décor - or just help us out on the night by doing a bit of stewarding. It's a night that will bring people of different skills and backgrounds together - so if you think you have something to offer, then let us know.

Nick Saaf, a member of the PATCHWORK Group said:

“We’re all very passionate about our music and having the opportunity to do something like this is brilliant. Trinity is a community centre as opposed to a night club, so there is more leeway to do something like this, but we wouldn’t be able to do it and make a success of it with out relying on people volunteering to give their time for free."

Patchwork will be held at Trinity, Old Market Saturday 28 February from 10pm.
