Our web system, based on the excellent Plone Content Management System, has been developed with the needs of the community and voluntary sector in mind. With this focus, we have ensured that content management, navigability & accessibility, site layout and user management are all fully supported within this system.

The code for the Plone system is owned by the non-profit Plone Foundation, and released under a Free Software Licence, protecting its use and continued development.
Due to the stability and extensibility of Plone, it is deployed widely in the public sector and by large corporations. Organizations as diverse as NASA, Oxfam, eBay, Trolltech, Nokia, Utah State University, the Hawaiian Government, the CIA, and Novell use Plone for content management.
There are hundreds of add-on products are available — forums, issue trackers, blogs and collaboration tools.

Membership Management
Our CMS allows management of users and groups
Plone provides a system of users and groups, allowing administrators to fine-tune permissions.
We have developed a system of workspaces for different users or groups to manage certain sections of the site, thus allowing sub-groups to manage their own content and forums.
This allows not only for greater user participation, but also ensures that all areas of the site will be kept fresh and current.
The site can be configured to allow self-registration, allowing you to quickly build a database of visitors.

Content Management
Managing your content is easy with our CMS
All content within the site is structured into a logical hierarchy of folders, allowing for easy content management.
Easy to update – our upload system is designed to allow for new content such as news items, images and key documentation.
The word-processing style editing facility, makes it easy for you to alter the appearance of text and images.
Layout & presentation – as a community or voluntary group, you may not have huge resources to put into keeping your site looking fresh. Our easy to use content management system allows you to place exactly what you want on each page of your site. From links to full sections, you can manage each page to look exactly how you want it.
Pictorial thumb-nailing – you can easily upload images and automatically create scaled thumbnails so that your site looks visually appealing to users.
Video content can also be easily embedded from other sites such as YouTube.com.
Searching & Index
Our CMS maintains a full index of all content on the site, making the site fast, easy to navigate, and easy to search

A map of the site is automatically generated and provides users with an easy way to understand and explore the structure of the site.

A catalogue is maintained of all content allowing for fast optimised keyword searching.
